Northern Illinois University’s Center for Government Studies is hosting a discussion on how institutions can support the development of local food system on Oct. 15. The day-long gathering will take place at the Loyola University Retreat and Ecology Campus in Woodstock, Illinois. Morning panel discussions on existing initiatives and resources within our region will be followed by a farm-to-table lunch featuring food from the Center’s garden. An afternoon program will feature Open Space strategizing. A closing reception with hors d’oeuvres and cash bar will provide time for additional networking. The cost to register before Oct. 1 is $75.
