3RD ANNUAL HOLIDAY MARKET: MEET YOUR LOCAL PRODUCERS
Location: The Illinois Building at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Springfield, Illinois
Saturday, 11/21/2009 (last Saturday before Thanksgiving)
9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Displays, samples, sales of farmers market products
Shop for your Thanksgiving meal, get locally produced food, learn about new local products or get started on your holiday gift shopping! This year’s Holiday Market: Meet Your Local Producers will showcase local farmers and local producers with farmers market sales, samples and exhibits.
Also, this year we will have a holiday-inspired cooking demonstrations (10 am, 11 am, 12 pm), live music, kid’s activities and lunch for purchase (delicious soups and sandwiches from 5Flavors catering).

Indian Creek Farm – organic grass-fed beef and poultry

Apple Creek Herb Farm – honey, cookbooks
Afterthought Farm – homemade goat milk soaps, lotions and more
Clarewood Farm and Bakery – pies, wholegrain cookies, tortillas, pizza dough and more
Pasta Alley – noodles, pastas, soup mixes and more
Zoey’s Herb Farm – homemade dog treats, loofah sponges and more
Greenthoughts Garden – handmade herbal soaps, balms and oils
