Andy Heck, Chair of the Illinois Stewardship Alliance Board of Directors, said “Liz’s unbridled enthusiasm and experience working alongside family farmers and ranchers to improve our local food system make her the perfect fit to lead  Illinois Stewardship Alliance into the future.”

Heck also noted the efforts of the the organization’s former Executive Director, Lindsay Record.

“Lindsay has wholeheartedly committed the past decade of her life to the organization and is greatly responsible for developing Illinois Stewardship Alliance as the leading voice in advocacy for conservation, local food, and small farmers. While we will miss her experience and determination, I take comfort knowing the organization is in good hands with Liz.”

A native of Chicago’s south suburbs, Liz is eager to lead the Alliance’s vibrant network of local food and sustainable agriculture supporters.

“Illinois Stewardship Alliance is an inspiring and effective organization,” Liz said. “I am honored to work with members, the board, and staff to lead the Alliance’s important work of cultivating a sustainable, vibrant, and just local food system in our state.”
