Buy Fresh Buy Local Central Illinois is a nationally-offered campaign operated regionally to encourage consumers – individual consumers, restaurants, grocery stores, and others – to support local farmers and local foods.

Buy Fresh Buy Local celebrates regional foods – fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, and more – through programs and opportunities that make it easier for you to find, choose, and appreciate great local foods while supporting the farmers and lands that produce them.

Buy Fresh Buy Local staff, volunteers, and farmers create food and buying guides, coordinate tasting and food events, support farmers’ markets, sponsor farm tours, and many other activities! We are also working to expand the Buy Fresh Buy Local brand – signs and labels – in stores, markets, and restaurants – so you know you’re supporting a business with a commitment to feature local foods and support local producers.

Our members include growers, producers, retailers, restaurants, and other Central Illinois institutions specializing in or utilizing locally-produced foods. Buy Fresh Buy Local is a program of Illinois Stewardship Alliance, a statewide non-profit organization providing programs and support to those working to strengthen regional opportunities for locally-grown foods.
