Local Flavors

The Local Flavors Farm-to-Table Restaurant Series

Local Flavors is a farm-to-table series created by Illinois Stewardship Alliance as part of the Buy Fresh Buy Local campaign to increase awareness for and availability of local and sustainably grown food.

For details about this year’s events, please visit www.buyfreshbuylocalcentralillinois.org

Local Flavors aims to connect Illinois growers and producers with local restaurants. The series takes place in 4 cities across central Illinois: Bloomington-Normal, Peoria, Springfield, and Champaign-Urbana. Every first and third Thursday of the month, June to October, participating restaurants in each of these cities will offer a lunch or dinner special menu item (or items) highlighting fresh, seasonal, locally produced foods sourced from central Illinois farmers.  The series opens new markets for small farmers; gives restaurants an opportunity to source locally and receive high quality products; and gives YOU a chance to support local farmers, local restaurants, and the local economy.

To be added to a mailing list to receive menu announcements please e-mail molly@ilstewards.org or visit each the following webpages on the Buy Fresh Buy Local Central Illinois Website:
