Register Now for the Illinois Farm to School Summit, June 7th

Would you believe that school lunch on a budget can include great local meat, freshly cooked local veggies and a beautiful salad? That’s what’s on the menu at the Illinois Farm to School Summit, June 7th at Lincoln Land Community College.

You’re invited to the Illinois Farm to School Summit, a free one-day conference where you will learn hands-on skills to make your school environment healthier. Learn from actual school food service professionals how to cook from scratch safely and on a budget. Come for the lunch, stay for the skills to bring that lunch to schools across Illinois. There will be three tracks, one for educators, one for farmers, and one for cafeteria staff, but anyone interested in getting nutritious, locally-grown food onto more school lunch plates is welcome! Spots are filling up – check out the agenda and be sure to register online today!

Farmers, there’s a special track just for you! Are you interested in growing for institutions? Don’t miss these two great workshops!
